Internet Marketing

Internet Marketing Struggles…Break Free!

I read about it all the time. “I have been an internet marketer for a year and can’t make a sale.” I would have to say that 1000′s of people say this all the time. Why is this? Why do I see the gurus making $80,000/month and I have to spend $100 to make a $17 commission. The basic answer to this situation is, do not follow what the gurus tell you. Branch off and brand yourself. Create your own niche. Come up with your own ideas. Internet marketing has been a struggle for everyone. It can get frustrating and make people want to quit. Many people that do give up, do it because they run out of money and HAVE to. Internet marketing is almost like a gambling habit. Spending money to hopefully find that million dollar prize.

Internet Marketing-What are your skills?

Step back for a second. Brainstorm..What are you personally good at? Do you have a hobby? What do you do for a daytime job? What are you extremely knowledgeable about? Everyone has a certain skill and chances are you are an expert in that field. Why not choose that topic? For instance, if you are good at kayaking…why not start a blog about kayaking? Again, YOU are the expert and people will be searching for your information. Before long, you will have a steady stream of readers. Add in some Adsense for some easy income. Start promoting your blog via social media. People love social media and your content will go viral. Once you create 20 or more posts, 1-2 will be bound to end up on the first page of Google. Once this happens, indexing happens quick. Now that your readers see you as the expert, they will be hooked. Just keep all your content unique and up to date. Having your won blog or website is the quickest way to make money. Next, you want to find affiliate products to earn extra income. Whether it be Clickbank, Amazon, etc. Offering your visitors relevant material is the way to go. Internet Marketing does not have to be all about promoting affiliate offers via an affiliate link through PPC and PPV. Chances are, you will lose your shirt and you will have no real value.

Market YOUR name, not the Guru’s name

It is very important to get YOUR name (or pen name) known as the expert and NOT the person trying to sell you something. If you have been a marketer for any period of time now, you have subscribed to many of these email lists. These marketers make a living by selling YOU their products, and they will do anything possible to make this happen. Very flashy sales pages with million dollar clickbank stats, Ferraris, beach houses, blah blah blah. They then portray that their millions were made by the software (or program) that they are trying to sell you and yes, for only $37 you get it all. Once you buy the $37 product then.. BAMMM! 5 one time offers have to be purchased before the program will work. (this usually costs $500 and $97/month. Am I wrong? lol… It is very import to get your name out there, you are the expert in your niche. Now that you have your name out there, it is now time to create your own unique product. Start writing your own Ebook… It doesn’t have to be 200 pages, just something of value that you can sell on your website for a small cost. Creating an Ebook in PDF is very easy. There are plenty of programs out there that are free and will develop a PDF out of your text…Just do a Google search. Your Ebook should be more than 10 pages and offer value. Perhaps it gives instructions, or a how-to, or maybe it’s a biography of a personal experience. Once it’s done, place it on your website/blog and sell it for $7 via Paypal. You can get more savvy and place it for sale on Clickbank or Paydotcom. Having your work on these market places enables other affiliates to promote YOUR Ebook in exchange for a commission. Because of this, you may want to sell it for $17 as you want to give your affiliates at least 70%.
  • Clickbank is the place that has the most affiliates promoting, however it is tough to get quality affiliates to promote and it also costs money to add your product (like $49)
  • Paydotcom is FREE to list your first product but doesn’t have as many affiliates as Clickbank. That is ok though, your product will still be seen by 1000′s of affiliates and they will promote it.
Best of luck to you!

6 Reasons Why Your Blog/Website is Not Getting More Visitors

One in every ten of my readers asked me why they do not get enough traffic to their blogs. Here are the top and main reasons why your website is not getting the amount of traffic that you would like to have on your blog/website.

1. Bad Content:
The ultimate truth for anyone who is looking to make a living online is that your content has to be unique and appealing. You have to offer good content to your readers. If a reader visits your blog, your aim will be to get the guy hooked to your blog. If your content is not good, you will lose the reader in all probability. Returning visitors are the people who help you make money online.
2. SEO is very poor:
Search Engine optimization is arguably the most important part of blogging. If your content is good, but then it is being read by nobody, it is of no use. SEO is a major tool which determines the page rank of your website/blog on the major search engines.
3. Act on the knowledge that you gain:
There are dozens of great internet marketing books on the web. My guess is that you have been through most of these but you have never acted on the methods explained there. Traffic is money on the Internet.
4. Infrequent posts:
Search engines are particularly inclined to those websites which are updated regularly. If you are not posting and updating your blog on a daily basis, you stand to lose on a lot of traffic. That is just the thing that you do not want to happen to your blog. Keep in mind that although posting and updating are necessary, do not ever post garbage on your blog as it will lose credibility. Try posting 2 quality articles on a daily basis. It should help.
5. No formula to generate a lot of traffic:
There is no formula which exists that can guarantee you traffic. The only ones that I know of is start writing interactive articles which people will like to read and know about and work on the SEO side of things. Google will take care of the rest if you provide quality content.
6. A new blog:
If you have started a new blog recently then patience is the key to success in the blogging sphere. If you are new to the arena, search engines take months to index you and give you proper page ranks. Focus on posting quality posts regularly and building links. You will soon be indexed by the major search engines. Your patience will pay off in ways you could not have possibly imagined!
